Introducing Hicya

We're excited to officially introduce Hicya to the world.

Hicya is a free software organization based in New York City. We build apps that are free to use, respect your privacy, and put the user experience first. No ads, no paywalls, no dark patterns.

Why We Started

The idea for Hicya came from a simple frustration: the software we use every day keeps getting worse. Apps that used to be simple and useful are now bloated with ads, gated behind subscriptions, and designed to maximize engagement rather than provide genuine value.

We started asking ourselves — what if there was an organization dedicated to building the kind of software we actually want to use? Software that's free, respects your time, and doesn't try to manipulate you into spending more?

That's Hicya.

What We Believe

Three principles guide everything we build:

• Free Forever. Our software will always be free. Not freemium, not ad-supported — genuinely free.
• Privacy First. We collect only what's necessary and we never sell your data. Your privacy isn't negotiable.
• User-Focused. Every decision starts with the user. We build clean, thoughtful interfaces that respect your intelligence.

What's Next

Our first product, Vexling, is already live — a multi-game puzzle platform with 9 game types, available on the web and iOS. We have more projects in the works, and we'll be sharing updates here as they develop.
